1. In the paragraph after the first pic, you have "Filino dalla Tuata" instead of Fileno Dalla Tuata.
2. I love this type of micro-history, and I hope you keep writing and making podcasts about it.
3. Just imagine a film, or better yet a miniseries, centred around following key members of those families, each episode moving from one generation to the next to keep it simple and sweet.
I've always wanted to do an HBO style miniseries on the Bentivoglio family.
Season 1: Giovanni Bentivoglio
Season 2: Antongaleazzo Bentivoglio
Season 3: Annibale Bentivoglio
Season 4: Sante Bentivoglio
Season 5: Giovanni II Bentivoglio
Season 6: Guido Rangoni
You'd spend 9 episodes falling in love with a character only for them to die in horrible and unexpected ways. I wouldn't need to embellish, just tell the story as it's written. It would be incredible.
"I wouldn't need to embellish, just tell the story as it's written. It would be incredible."
This is the part I find incredible as well. We have better real life stories than fantasy ones. I genuinely hope that, after you are done telling all these stories on your podcast, you clean them up with the power of hindsight, order them up, and send them to a (good) TV production company that would be interested in making money. One of those guys must practice HEMA, and he must see the value in all of this. Superhero movies are dead, westerns are still out as blockbusters, fantasy is failing, war movies are too close to reality, time to bring back cape and sword movies (using people that in addition to acting can also use a sword). I can only dream...

Fixed, thank you.
